Spectral properties of amplified spontaneous emission in laterally-coupled integrated micro-resonators

Résumé

We use coupled-mode theory and extended scattering parameters (including internal sources) to describe the spectral properties of laterally-coupled, Fabry-Perot-like, integrated micro-resonators. We derive analytical expressions for the internal and emitted fields, which are shown to couple into the resonance modes of the superstructure.
