Challenges in education in thermal analysis and calorimetry. From isothermal and isobaric thermogravimetry data to kinetic modeling and mechanisms of solid-gas reactions

Résumé

Most of today's kinetic and mechanism studies of solid-gas reactions involve kinetic computations based on single or multiple heating programed experiments. These methods require the kinetic rate dα/dt to follow both conditions: (i) to admit an apparent activation energy and (ii) to be a function of the conversion extent α.
