Analysis of the thermo-mechanical behavior of coarse-grained polycrystalline aluminum under tensile conditions
Résumé
The aim of this paper is to present the advantages of using Digital Image Correlation (DIC) and Infrared Thermography (IRT) to investigate the thermomechanical behavior of aluminum at the scale of its microstructure. The study combines these complementary imaging techniques: Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) to characterise the microstructure of the sample, DIC to obtain strain fields and IRT to reach heat source induced by the mechanical loading. The aim of this study is to provide energy balance during mechanical test at the scale of the microstructure, in order to propose thermomechanical constitutive modelling of crystalline plasticity.
