Efficient NISI Compensation Technique for a Low-Cost Satellite Video Receiver
Résumé
This paper presents a nonlinear inter-symbol interference (NISI) compensation technique dedicated to a low-cost DVB-S2 receivers. The NISI compensator based on a polynomial linearizer and a Volterra Canceller is composed of two transversal digital filters which are trained from a recursive least-square (RLS) block. Such an architecture is prohibitively complex if a low-cost application is considered. In order to reach a simplified NISI compensator, this paper presents a novel architecture based on Hermite polynomials and a simplified training algorithm. Compared with the state of the art, the complexity is reduced in O2 without degrading the receiver performances.
