Periodic steady state sliding contact between a rigid and an anisotropic elastic halfspace
Abstract
In this paper, we study the steady-state sliding contact involving an anisotropic elastic half space and a rigid one. Preliminary results on the relation between displacement and periodical surface traction allows to formulate the contact problem in terms of an singular integral equations with cotangent kernel. The equation is then reduced to a Riemann-Hilbert problem and solution for the contact pressure is obtained in closed form
