Résumé

Robust performance is one of the most important keys in product design when many variation sources exist throughout the product lifecycle such as material defects, machining errors, use conditions of the product. However, most of the performance simulation of the product is traditionally carried out by using the numerical model created in the CAD system. This model only represents the nominal informations of the product. Thus, it is difficult to determine the relationship between the performance of the product and the variation sources, especially geometrical variation sources. A method is proposed in this paper to allow modelling the geometrical variations generated during the product lifecycle and integrating ones into the product performance simulation. As a result, the relationship between the performance and the geometrical variation sources can be established.
