Optimization of EMI Filters for electrical drives in Aircraft

The paper deals with the design of passive filter for power electronics voltage inverters used in aircraft electrical drives. The sizing is carried out thanks to optimization algorithms (sequential quadratic programming and evolutionary strategy). The problem has numerous constraints on the components, mainly technological constraints. The volume is minimized, respecting EMI standards. The approach is generic and is applied on a permanent magnet synchronous machine fed by a 6-phase voltage inverter with PMW control.
