Statistical study on the influence of size and distribution of windows on a building's reflection coefficient

Abstract

Statistical studies on the reflection coefficient of building facades are made using a fast and accurate method based on the equivalence principle and the Green's functions. The main goal is to quantify how the random distribution of windows, with different sizes, influences the total reflection coefficient of the building. The study is performed in two parts: in the first part the same percentage of windows is distributed randomly on the building facade; in the second part a small variation is added to the size of windows with standard form and fixed distribution.
