Patient-ventilator asynchrony : automatic detection of autopeep
Abstract
This paper introduces a method to automatically detect AutoPEEP (pulmonary distension), a frequent asynchrony in the patient-ventilator interface. The detection algorithm is developed based on a robust non-parametric hypothesis testing that requires no prior information on the distribution of the signal.
The experiment results have shown that the proposed algorithm provide relevant AutoPEEP detection on both simulated and real data.
