Detecting odorous compounds emitted from building and consumer products within the European Project SysPAQ

Résumé

Introduction In 2006 the European research project Innovative Sensor System for Measuring Perceived Air Quality and Brand Specific Odours (SysPAQ / see www.syspaq.eu) started with 10 partners involved. The main goal of this project is to develop an innovative system to measure indoor air quality as it is perceived by humans to be used as an indicator and a control device for the indoor air quality. Within this project many different building and consumer products were tested. Some of these products were several years old. The odorous Evaluation of these products has been done so far. Here the emission tests with an olfactory detection port are described.
