Modelling of the interaction between phase transformation and precipitation: Coupled kinetics in microalloyed multiphase steels
Résumé
We propose a way to describe the interaction between phase transformation and precipitation in multiphase steels. The proposed model describes the kinetics of phase transformation and yields mean value of the number, radius and volume fraction of precipitates both in each phase and in the whole specimen. This coupling procedure rationalises the non-intuitive time evolution of the various parameters. Indeed, the interest of the intercritical precipitation for optimal use of the microalloying elements is outlined.
