La discrimination des femmes dans l'assurance-vie. De la théorie aux faits (1660-1830)
Résumé
The eighteenth century is full of actuarial science, and significant advances allow for a correct computation of survival (widowhood) annuities, such assets were rather unusual before 1800. After showing that most widowhood benefits were not estimated on an actuarially sound basis, we give some hints of why actuarial mathematics were not commonly used.
