Use and improvements of SysML in reliability study

Résumé

In this paper, we introduce a methodology for the reliabil-ity analysis of complex systems during their design. The chal-lenge of such a method is to be efficient and accessible for system engineers. We gear this method towards the reuse of functional models expressed in the widely used languages of OMG (Object Management Group). We discuss the improve-ments brought by SysML for reliability studies in comparison with previous works using UML. Namely, we underline its utilization for the automatic synthesis of FMEA.
