Ontologies in Agriculture

Abstract

Ontologies have been used for the last decades for a set of tasks, one of which is focused on achieving interoperability between heterogeneous information systems. In this paper, we present different types of ontologies and we explain how next generation of information system will benefit from the use of ontologies to resolve interoperability issues.
