Simple method to measure laser linewidth using intensity noise spectrum based on Rayleigh Backscattering effect

Résumé

A novel and simple method, based on interferometric noise intensity due to Rayleigh backscattering, is proposed for laser linewidth measurement. The experimental results are consistent with those obtained with a delayed self-heterodyne technique.
