Study of a C-band cross-coupled dual-behavior resonator filter with spurious responses suppression for a space application

Résumé

This paper deals with the design of a C-band fourth-order cross-coupled dual-behavior resonator (DBR) filter integrating two 3rd-order low-pass filters and one capacitive-coupled dual behavior resonator (CCDBR) filter. The aim was the control of the spurious resonances on each side of the bandpass response. Moreover, to enhance the rejection and obtain a flat group-delay, we used the cross-coupled technique. The proposed topology is described at first. Then, the experimental data produced by this filter realized on an alumina substrate are compared with those of a classical hairpin filter. This filter is dedicated to equip a satellite.
