              <p>Le refroidissement d'atomes par laser a rendu possible l'étude d'une grande variété de systèmes quantiques complexes dans des conditions optimales. En particulier, à l'aide de potentiels créés par la lumière, on peut étudier des "réseaux optiques" spatialement périodiques ressemblant beaucoup à un cristal. Ces mêmes potentiels optiques peuvent être utilisés pour réaliser des systèmes quantiques "chaotiques". Nous montrons dans cet article comment un système quantiquement chaotique réalisé avec des atomes froids permet d'explorer la transition métal-isolant d'Anderson en dimension trois, et de mesurer pour la première fois un exposant critique de cette transition avec des ondes de matière sans interaction. \\ Laser cooling of atoms has made possible to study a large variety of complex quantum systems under optimal conditions. In particular, using potentials created by light, we can study spatially periodic "optical lattices" which look like a crystal. Such an optical potential can be used for realizing "chaotic" quantum systems. In this article, we show how a quantum chaotic system realized with cold atoms allows to explore the metal-insulator Anderson transition in three dimensions, and to measure a critical exponent of this transition for the first time with non-interacting matter waves . \\</p>
