Die optimal shape design for crystal growth process

Résumé

The optimal shape design of the die in a crystal growth process is carried on. In the first part, the physical problem and its modelization are presented. In the second part, the mathematical problem which consists in solving an optimal shape design based on transformation of domains is treated. The basic notions of this technique are briefly recalled and the numerical algorithm is explained in detail. Then, in the last part, numerical results are presented.
