Fault detection based on uncertain switching models with bounded parameters

This paper deals with a fault detection method taking model uncertainties described by bounded variables into account. An observer based on a set-membership switching model is used for generating testable redundancy relations in which each uncertain parameter is defined by an interval containing all its feasible values. To subdivide some interval supports leads to define several operating modes represented by local uncertain models and makes it possible to improve fault detection performance.
