Proposition of a Tool to Evaluate the Customer's Performance in Collaborative Product Development with Suppliers
Résumé
An important trend in New Product Development Projects (NPDP) is to increase the involvement of suppliers in order to enlarge the scope of the firms' competencies. However, involving suppliers in NPDP requires the development of specific know-how to manage the suppliers in such projects. The success of a project depends on the performance of both partners -supplier and customer. This paper is a new step in an on-going research project aimed at describing the issue of customer performance evaluation in this specific context. The model and the associated tools presented in this paper were built with the collaboration of six French industrial manufacturers, partners of the PRAXIS research project (Performance in Relationships Adapted to eXtended Innovation with Supplier)
