Self-Timed Implementation of an Impulse Radio Synchronisation Acquisition Algorithm
Résumé
This paper describes a self-timed implementation of an ultra wideband impulse radio (UWB-IR) synchronisation acquisition algorithm for a non-coherent receiver. The performance of the proposed algorithm has been evaluated by numerical simulations using various statistical channel propagation models. A qualitative comparison of the electrical activity between the proposed asynchronous solution and the standard synchronous one demonstrates the energy efficiency and the relevance of our asynchronous implementation choice.
