Phonostylographe, un outil de description des phonostyles prosodiques. Chroniques radiophoniques et style lu
Résumé
The paper presents a software for prosodic and phonostylistic description and its application to a study comparing radiophonic and read speech. This quasi-automatic and modular tool consists of a set of Praat-based acoustic tools like phonetic segmentation, melodic stylisation and prominence detection. A phonostylistic voice report – called phonostylographe – is produced on the basis of an audio file and its orthographic transcription. In this paper, we use this tool to identify phonostylistic properties of chronicles of a French public radio: three two-minutes-long recordings are compared with plain neutral reading of the same texts. Results confirm our initial hypotheses about phonostylistic distinctive features of Radio- France's chronicles – leaving out questions open to further study.
