Robust fault diagnosis for descriptor systems A coprime factorization approach

Résumé

In this paper the factorization approach to robust residual generation is extended to descriptor systems. The design of the optimal residual generator for non causal systems is performed via two steps. First, the coprime factorization permits to use proper filters to perform the robust fault diagnosis. Secondly, the residual generation is considered as a special case of H¥-filtering. An LMI-based design of an optimal residual generator is proposed and illustrated.
