Performance of a Polarization Insensitive 3R Optical Regenerator Based on a new SOA-NOLM Architecture

Résumé

A polarization insensitive 3R-optical regenerator, based on an original two-stage SOA discriminating gate, is experimentally investigated in a 100 km recirculating loop at 10 Gbit/s. At least 1000 regenerating repeater cascades is demonstrated (100000 km).
