Stationary Delays for a Multiclass Priority Queue With Reneging
Résumé
We consider a markovian multiserver queue with two classes of impatient customers, VIP and less important ones. VIP customers has a non-preemptive strict priority over the other type of customers. After entering the queue, a customer will wait a random length of time for service to begin. If service has not begun by this time he will renege and considered to be lost. We focus on deriving performance measures in terms of the sojourn of customers in queue, either before starting service, or before reneging. To the best of our knowledge, the analysis for the low priority customers has not been done before in the literature.
