Abstract
The stress and strain distribution around a crack tip is considered for a steady motion of a linear crack in an elastic-plastic medium in mode I loading. The objective of the calculation is to check by numerical simulation that the crack driven force is zero. The governing equations are given for a steady motion. This problem leads to the discussion on an elastic problem with nonlocal constitutive equations.
