Models of knowledge on manufacturing systems for control law sysnthesis

In an industrial context, the design of discrete control laws to drive a manufacturing system is usually assumed off line by several experts. This is mainly due to the lack of a generic method to accumulate the controlled system abilities from which a control law can be synthesized. This paper proposes a solution by first providing a methodological approach to model a controlled system. Second, a generic algorithm to use the model from a synthesis point of view is presented.
