Computation of the Effect of Space Harmonics on the Performances of a Cage Induction Motor Using Time Harmonic and Time Stepping Methods

Résumé

Two Time Harmonic methods for computing steady state operation of induction motors are validated by time stepping technique. Saturation and space harmonics are considered and the study focuses on the effect of space harmonics on the torque–speed and current-speed characteristics.
