Global simulation and co-simulation of Self Powered Micro Systems

Résumé

In this paper, we present a multi domain and mixed signal simulation for a microsystem. A self powered microsystem is used as a case study. Global simulation and co-simulation are performed using MATLAB simulators (Simulink®), SmashTM/Simulink and ModelSim/Simulink respectively). A prototype of energy harvesting circuit has been built. This prototype is used to validate the process of harvesting energy from mechanical vibrations present in the environment. The experimental and simulation results have been compared. These results have proved the efficiency of the global simulation and co-simulation for the design of such microsystems.
