This is a test collection, initiated and managed by Vincent Battesti.

The idea for this "sound" collection is to collect and make visible research works deposited on HAL Open Archive on this research field, most of the time in social sciences.

That said, this collection is intended to be multi- or even transdisciplinary.

The research field in question covers the concepts of sound ambiance, soundscapes and all approaches that apprehend these objects as socially constructed objects.

Focusing on "sound" out of the music (field largely covered otherwise), our interest here differs, however, from musicology and ethnomusicology.
