Flat Dielectric Barrier Discharge Lamp in Interaction with a Resonant Power Supply

Abstract

The study is dedicated to the analysis of the couplings between a flat DBD lamp and a power supply3 intended to control the current injected into the bulb. Main points are : • The operating principle of the electrical generator, which controls the resonant energy transfer with the dbd capacitive load. • The identification of the parameters of an equivalent circuit of the lamp, necessary to adjust the parameters of the supply, in view of setting up the electrical waveform: iDBD, vDBD, power. • The study of the correlation between the experimental measurements and the theoretical expected performances. • The analysis of the light emission control, by means of the injected electrical power.
