Abstract

A new method that extends the application of spherical Wheeler cap to relatively small cavities of any shape is presented for radiation efficiency estimation. We introduce a modified Huynh formulation to take into account cavity losses when they are non-negligible for high frequencies. These assumptions are consistent with experimental results, which are based on antenna measurements in cubic cavities and for different frequency bands.
