Abstract

A compact and flexible dual-band antenna for near-body Internet of things (IoT) applications is presented. Modified Inverted F-antenna (IFA) structure is employed as to allow dual-band operation. Two thin films of Polycarbonate (PC) and Polyurethane (PU) are used in order to provide flexibility to the structure. The antenna covers incoming lower 5G (n18) and 915-MHz industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) bands and exhibits a maximum gain of -8.78 dBi. Moreover, antenna matching is insensitive to near body influence.
