A Novel Time-Frequency Approach for Frequency-Hopping Signal Blind Estimation
Résumé
The estimation of frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) signals is essential for the analysis and detection of communications in dynamic and challenging environments. This paper presents a novel approach based on time-frequency analysis using a two-dimensional Fourier transform (TF2D) applied to a thresholded spectrogram of the FHSS signal. The method enables accurate blind estimation of the FHSS law parameters while demonstrating robustness to burst erasure and misalignment effects, which act as noise introduced by the thresholding process. The performance of the proposed approach is validated through simulation results, highlighting its effectiveness compared with conventional techniques.
