This article focused on the usage of mobile telephony in Gabon, where professionals are integrating more and more information technology systems (ICT) in their daily activities. We have demonstrated that global petroleum companies had put in place strategies to digitalize all their communication infrastructures at the head office level. If professional's practices are in line with organization's workflow as well as productions and coordination of communication's practices, the gap is still wide between what is professionally offered and what can be acquired privately. As the matter of fact, all Total and Shell's Executives regardless of their location enjoy the same benefits. Nevertheless, in Gabon, these practices, although initiated at the professional level, end up in private arenas and as results the ownership is both private and professional. The analysis is done by how consumers use new products and services using mobile devices such as money transfer, electronic vouchers, and mobile payments as communicated by local mobile operators. Our study therefore focuses on the overlap or shift between the professional and private sphere, and the dual ownership.
