The Chrono-environment laboratory (UMR 6249) is under the supervision of the university of Burgundy Franche-Comté and the CNRS which is associated with both INRAP, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Culture and CEA. The laboratory is also a fellow of the MSHE Ledoux and the OSU THETA.
Our laboratory brings together all the necessary skills to respond to the challenges raised by the global emergency to manage resources and biodiversity in a sustainable manner, for a sustainable development of human populations. As such, we have chosen to build our project around the objectives of the international "Future Earth" initiative, which promotes the acquisition of the knowledge required for sustainable global development, by supporting actions aimed at observing, understanding and predicting the processes involved in the biogeosphere, long-term human-land-environment interactions, and past, present and future environmental, ecotoxicological and epidemiological issues.
The coexistence in the laboratory of skills in life sciences, sciences of the universe, health sciences, physical and chemical sciences, human sciences, and mathematics, is to our knowledge unique at the national level.
The policy of animation around scientific projects, and a functioning without disciplinary teams allow to federate an important part of the researchers of the unit, all disciplines combined, around themes and common projects, and to thus lead to great actions interdisciplinary.
