Integrating Heterogeneous Simulation Codes in FlowVR Interactive Applications
Résumé
FlowVR is a component-based middleware providing the means to develop and run high performance VR or Scientific Visualization applications on PC cluster or grid architecture. In this poster, we propose to enlarge FlowVR with a new coupling method to integrate any simulation codes not written to be a FlowVR component in a distributed interactive scientific FlowVR application. It consists in an API that encapsulates FlowVR technicalities in few simple functions inserted in the original code, written in C, C++ or Fortran, to make it compatible with the programming model of the FlowVR middleware.
