ATILF (Analyse et Traitement Informatique de la Langue Française – Computer Processing and Analysis of the French Language), a joint research unit of CNRS and Université de Lorraine, is the result of a merger between the CNRS National Institute for the French Language (Institut National de la Langue Française – INALF) and the Language, Discourse, Cognition (LANDISCO) Laboratory of University Nancy 2.

ATILF has already attained worldwide recognition. ATILF is administratively under the CNRS Humanities and Social Sciences Institute and also acts as an interface with the Information Sciences and their Interactions Institute. ATILF is a member of the CNRS - Institut de Linguistique Française Federation and of the TEI (Text Encoding Initiative) international consortium.
